Travel Day Checklist for Pets
Whether you are heading to the vet or across state lines, a packed kit keeps pets comfortable and your trip less stressful.

Start with a secure carrier or crash-style car harness. Soft carriers work well for cabin travel, while hard shells offer more structure for longer drives.
Pack a collapsible bowl, bottled water, waste bags, and a familiar blanket that smells like home. Familiar scents help anxious pets settle faster.
Bring copies of vaccination records and an updated ID tag. A GPS tracker on the collar adds peace of mind for hotel stays and trail stops.
Plan potty and stretch breaks every few hours. Never leave pets alone in a parked car, even for a short errand on mild days.
